  1. Plan to drive directly home from the grocery store
  2. Place perishable items in the car and not the car boot to minimise temperature fluctuation
  3. Refrigerate promptly upon reaching home
  4. Follow storage and cooking instructions provided (e.g. keep chilled, cook before consumption)
  5. Do not place chilled products in the freezer compartment
  6. Do not cross-contaminate (cooked foods should not be placed together with raw foods)
  7. Cooked items should be placed on top shelves while raw items on lower shelves to prevent contamination
  8. Consume Yong Tau Foo products within two days
  9. Yong Tau Food products have no preservatives, so always keep them chilled
  10. For frozen products, once thawed, do not refreeze
  11. Always wash your hands before and after handling food
